Cliff’s professional journey is marked by his significant contributions to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and the African Regional At-Large Organization (AFRALO).

As an active member of ICANN, Cliff plays a crucial role in shaping internet policies and initiatives. He is a member of the Consolidated Policy Working Group, where he contributes to the development and implementation of policies that ensure the internet remains open, secure, and resilient. Additionally, Cliff is a key participant in the Universal Acceptance Steering Group, a global initiative aimed at ensuring all valid domain names and email addresses are universally accepted, regardless of script, language, or length. His work in this group is instrumental in promoting a more inclusive and globally accessible internet.

Within AFRALO, Cliff’s leadership is pivotal. Serving in various capacities, he has been instrumental in voicing the perspectives and needs of African internet users. His efforts in the AFRALO Operating Principles Working Group have been vital in enhancing the region’s engagement with global internet governance processes, ensuring that African stakeholders have a meaningful say in the future of the internet.
