Ms. Agena is a Technologist and Development Communication Consultant with a wealth of experience spanning a decade, having worked across the African continent and beyond. Her interest is in citizen-centric technology and policies, Internet of Things (IoT), sensitive technologies and Artificial intelligence. As a budding researcher, Agena has authored opinion pieces and contributed to documentation of research with International organisations.  She is a Non- Executive Member on a number of Boards where she guides on various technology aspects. She holds a Msc. in Information Systems, a Bsc. in Information Technology and an MA on Development Communications in addition to a number of certificates.

She is currently coordinating this year’s East Africa Internet Governance Forum (EAIGF), on behalf of the Internet Society Uganda Chapter.

Ms. Agena is also an avid traveler, over lander and cyclist who puts technology at the center of everything that she does.
